Adelaide’s award winning company for disabled and non-disabled artists, Restless Dance Theatre, will present the world premiere of In the Balance in the Odeon Theatre, 57a Queen Street, Norwood from 16 to 25 October.

In the Balance marks the first Restless Youth Ensemble work directed by the company’s artistic director Michelle Ryan, an arts practitioner with over twenty years experience in the areas of film, performance, choreography and administration.
Restless has achieved national and international acclaim for both its performance and film initiatives. A film venture, Necessary Games, won four awards at the SA Screen Awards in 2009. In 2010 these films also received awards at several film festivals including the XIII Brooklyn International Film Festival in New York and the ReelDance Australia and New Zealand Awards. Restless has also received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Youth or Community Dance at the Australian Dance Awards and an SA Ruby award for Sustained Contribution by an Organisation.

Restless is triennially funded by the Dance Board of the Australia Council and is recognised as a ‘Key Organisation’ nationally.
