The Two Character Play by Tennessee Williams

"The Two Character Play" by Tennessee Williams was described by the renowned playwright as "My most beautiful play since Streetcar". Winterfall Theatre Company presents the Australian premiere of this play that enjoyed a recent New York revival in 2013. "The Two Character Play" centres around two actor/managers - Clare and Felice - who are also brother and sister. Finding themselves abandoned by their company and crew while on tour "in a state theatre in a state unknown", they perform the play within the play, or "The Two Character Play" to the incoming audience. The play is based on their own childhoods and reality and fantasy merge with the compelling power of Tennessee Williams' poetic play writing.
