MASTER CLASS WITH HELEN AYRES

Renowned Australian violinist HELEN AYRES (Seraphim Trio, Matthew Flinders String Quartet) puts young chamber musicians through their paces.

Celebrating her tenth year of music-making at Queen’s College, Helen Ayres will put young musicians through their paces, offering her expertise as one Australia’s finest chamber musicians. A doctoral graduate of the University of Melbourne, Helen Ayres is a member of the Matthew Flinders String Quartet and performs with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, the Australian Octet, Astra Ensemble, Syzygy, and Ensemble Liaison. Helen has held a full-time position with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and has appeared as guest principal with Orchestra Victoria and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

The Master Class will be followed later in the evening (7:30PM) with a ticketed concert of Beethoven and Dvorak performed by the Seraphim Trio.
