The Elder Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra pays homage to the birthplace of their tradition in Viva l'Italia, a 'banchetto' of musical delights spanning three centuries. Blistering concertos from Corelli and his protégé Geminiani contrast with the sombrous repose of the famed 'Albinoni' Adagio. The passion and drama of Italian opera and cinema follow in works by Puccini and Nino Rota before a pick-me-up in the tastiest of Italian style by Adelaide composer David Lang.
