Cirque Mother Africa – The Heartbeat of Africa pulsates throughout the jaw-dropping show as the musicians and artistes articulate their passion and love for their homeland including Ethiopia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Benin, Zimbabwe, and Guinea.
The show seen by more than two million people worldwide is a delight for the senses with items spun through the air, bodies contorted into mind-boggling shapes, astonishing acrobatics and performers balance on other performers, percussionists beat up a storm of sound and traditional dancers tell their own stories.
Masks, drums, beads, and amazing costumes and sets all bring forth the feel of authentic African traditions. Cirque Mother Africa is not just a traditional African show. It also has a take on the modern, fresh and dynamic culture of the new Africa.
This is a fresh and fantastic show that evokes passion and demands a response. Audiences are encouraged, prodded and charmed to actively respond rather than to simply watch a breath-taking spectacle.

Outstanding.nwe really enjoyed and we're just mesmerised by sounds colour and action.
It did take the theatre a while to find our tickets as they had never heard of On The House, but they did look after us.

Mother Africa was a vibrant, joyful, high energy production. It is, at its heart, a circus production so if you are looking to connect with the 'soul' of Africa, this perhaps will miss the mark a little. The performers, however, are wonderful and I enjoyed the music. There are lots of jaw dropping moments of acrobatic skill and some stirring music and dance also. We enjoyed the opportunity and are very grateful to 'On The House'.

Amazing drumming, beautiful voices and movements. Unfortunately, our paid seats in the last row were too far away for thoroughly enjoying the show.
Music and dancing was wonderful! Good seats, everything went smoothly. Wish I had the energy,fitness, dexterity and talents of the performers. Amazing!

Quite entertaining..I took a friend who initially said this type of entertainment was not normally to his taste...He thoroughly enjoyed it. We were both pleasantly surprised..The performers were engaging and exude the love of what they do well. ..We did however find the presence of a tiger as a prop rather amusing! Good show and a delight to watch other patrons reactions.
