1. Why are your tickets free?

Producers, venues, artists give tickets to ON-THE-HOUSE to help promote their productions. So while ON-THE-HOUSE is giving you a wealth of wonderful experiences, you are supporting the arts. All we ask you to do is tell your family, friends and neighbors to not miss the shows that you’ve already seen and loved. Your word of mouth helps bring in a paying audience. Word of mouth is the least expensive and the best publicity there is.

2. What do your free events include?

Our events include some of the finest shows and venues. Shows include: well-reviewed dramas, cutting edge performances, repertory groups, musicals, cabaret, classic Shakespeare, experimental theatre, film screenings, magic shows, staged reading, lectures, chamber music, renowned dance troupes, improvisation and comedy clubs.

3. How will I know what shows to choose?

When you log into Upcoming Shows page, you will find information regarding the event, the location, the time and date of the show and number of tickets available.

4. How many events can I go to?

Any event on our service (based upon ticket availability). You will find all the events listed on Upcoming Shows page which requires you to log into the site.

5. How many tickets can I get to each event?

You can apply ONCE to any event. The organiser might offer single or double passes at their discretion. Sometimes, they may offer more tickets per member.

6. How do I find out what events you are offering?

Keep checking this site! Sometimes the home page will give an indication of what events are coming up

7. Can I be guaranteed any number of tickets if I join?

We do not guarantee that you will attend any number of shows in a year. It is up to you to keep checking the website for upcoming events. We do not know who or how many tickets will be given to us at any time. We simply administer this site.

8. How much does the membership cost?

Currently, this service costs $55.00/year. This is a nominal charge for using this service and is necessary to for administration purposes - such as maintaing the site, managing ticket allocations.

9. How do I reserve my tickets?

Reservations must be done via this website, go to Upcoming Shows page. Once you have logged in, select the event, the number of tickets you want to book and click the reserve button. If there are no tickets left for the show then the system will say NOT AVAILABLE against the show.

10. How do I get my tickets?

Your tickets will be waiting for you at the Box Office one half hour before curtain.

11. Is there a number I could call if I have a query?

Our preference is that you email us, however, you can call on 0403947836.

12. If I reserve tickets through your site, can I gift them to a friend or resell them?

Memberships are NOT transferable. If you reserve tickets to a show, you must attend or cancel the tickets. You cannot gift tickets or resell them. Your membership may be suspended if you fail to abide by these rules.

13. How do I cancel tickets?

At the top right corner of the Upcoming Shows page, there is a Reservation hyperlink. Click that link and cancel any future shows that you have booked to see but will not be able to attend.

14. Do I have to cancel tickets if I am unable to attend a show?

YES. Failure to do so may result in suspension of your membership. People that give these tickets away count on seats being filled by ON THE HOUSE members. We do not want to let them down. Also, other members might be able to use the tickets that you cannot use.

15. Do you disclose my information to any other group/organisation?

Absolutely not! We give the organiser your name only so that they have you on the door list.
